The righteous shall live by faith. This truth rocketing into Martin Luther’s understanding and proceeded to rock the entire earth going forward. We are justified by faith. Our sin has made the reach of our righteous ladders fall short of the height of the righteousness of God. We are not just a few inches short. We may as well be trying to crawl up onto Mars from a step stool. But when your heart is not confused regarding ‘the righteousness of God’ you do not strive against or argue with this reality.
