Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; ~ Ephesians 5:20 -KJV
Thankfulness at all times and for all things is the seed of an overcoming spirit that acknowledges the hand of God, knowing His sovereign intention is irresistibly working to benefit all people. Cultivated thankfulness becomes a fruit which is seen and a melody which is heard. Thoughtful and gracious discourse marks the Christian as a beacon of thanksgiving in the midst of a thankless generation.
Unthankfulness is a fruit of the unrepentant spirit of these last days. Let us have a revelation of our prodigal-ness… that we are unworthy servants, yet also beloved children. May our hearts grasp this and may songs and thoughts of thanksgiving usher forth from our spirits with each breath.
Can we say with sincerity “He is everything to me”? Are we so filled with other things that we crowd out the revelation that he holds our next heartbeat. Let us thank Him for our every breath and the wholeness of our bodies. So much is taken for granted in a rich society. We must be mindful of His benevolences which flow to us each moment. Doing without for a time seems the best teacher of thankfulness and gratitude.
It is only through our Lord Jesus that we have a platform to speak thanksgiving unto the throne room. Neither can we bypass the Son en-route to the Father. The protocol of Heaven is through the Son. In Jesus’ name alone do we have access. A thankful heart looks above what is happening, knowing the ultimate and final outcome. A thankful heart sees like an eagle the very things which the thoughtless heart walks past, not even knowing they are receiving of those things daily of God. A thankful heart hears in amplified stereo, the tone and pitch of God’s rhapsody toward us.
