Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ~ Ephesians 6:11 -KJV
Warring in the Kingdom is different. The object is to stand and the enablement is the whole armour of God. There are five defensive weapons and only one offensive. Wherein do we obtain the enablement, ability, power, the state of mind and the strength to stand? From within the armour of God.
What we stand against are the wiles, cunning arts, deceit, craftiness and trickery of the evil one. He is a deceiver first and foremost. He wars against us on the front line of our minds and we defend and advance in that same realm as well.
The physical realm is a battle line as well when we are accosted by carnal attacks and circumstances. So it is that we find ourselves warring on two fronts. Even when an onslaught has manifested in the physical realm it’s remedy is in the spiritual being brought to bear on the mental with eventual manifestation back into the physical. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
As long as we are in this earth realm we are in a theater of war. Eventually we can learn to put on God’s armor as a one would a worn, true and proven boot or glove. Only a veteran can feel so comfortable in the equipment and garments of war. For one to be a veteran there must have been many battles already.
